CUSTOMER SERVICE is the worse I have ever experienced. They will not cooperate with information sharing requests regarding employees either in writing or on the telephone. Rude, without cause.
I have not yet received my seat so I cannot yet speak to the quality. Veada makes VERY FALSE AND MISLEADING promises in the production times on their website. They CLAIM their orders customarily take 2-3 weeks which I found to be marginally acceptable when based on this assurance I decided to purchase from them. This is no where close! Based upon the various reviews I believe be be authentic (followed by a barrage of very similarly written questionable favorable reviews) their REAL production time is closer to at least two months! In their response to a similar complaint above they acknowledged in 2013 the need to review their policies. I guess they're working on that with the same level of expediency as they do production. If they were HONEST with their actual production times they obviously wouldn't sell any seats. DON'T BUY FROM VEADA if you're planning on using your purchase this season.
They effectively use customers money for weeks to run the business and only if called do they offer an anonymous email stating a back order and require a call for a refund. I am reporting this "kiting" of customers funds to the Indiana Attorneys General unfair Internet business practices division for investigation.
Veada charged my account $159.00 for products that were in stock and ready to be shipped. I found out after nearly 10 days and several calls that the product was back ordered. Their internet sales staff sent emails from day 1 that it was being processed and getting ready to ship. This however was completely untrue.
The customer service at this place is absolutely horrible. I have called, and emailed this company numerous times for 1 replacement part. Good luck getting them to provide any type of assistance let alone respond to an email. I've sent many emails to their sales rep, but never get a response. When i did get a response, it was a pacifier email that said that my email has been forwarded to the right department. I explained that i'm not looking for free stuff, I'm a customer that's looking to purchase a part that i can only seem to get from them. If you can, avoid this company by any means as i have been trying to find this part since November 2016. And still no luck...
Veada Internet sales is seriously in need of customer service and new policies regarding charging customers for merchandise not in stock or back ordered.
I purchased a pair of high back captains chairs from Veada a couple of years ago (2016). These were one of the more expensive seats they made and once I received them I learned why. In a word they're spectacular. Just beautiful and more comfortable than any other piece of furniture I own. There are people at the boat club that have boats about twice the length of mine. But they have these sad little helm seats. More than one of these captains has been on my little boat and said "Where did you get THESE?" I see a lot of negative reviews of late and am mystified by them. I hope that everything is OK in New Paris Indiana and that Veada will continue their good work. I highly recommend them, but I'd call based on the latest reviews and try to see if the same people are running the store.
